Iran's Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar has said that the US and the Zionist regime are to blame for the Middle East crisis.

He noted that the US on the one hand speaks about security, peace and stability in the Middle East and on the other it mobilizes all its efforts in order to create critical conditions in the region.

Commenting on Lebanon, Mohammad-Najjar pointed out that the US is making Lebanon an unsafe place to guarantee the security of the Zionist regime.

He voiced Iran's support for a united and secure Lebanon which is ruled through cooperation of all Lebanese political leaders.

The minister added that Tehran regards any foreign intervention in Lebanon's internal affairs as disadvantageous for the Lebanese nation and beneficial for that nation's enemies.

“The Zionist regime's talk of launching an attack against Iran is solely aimed at concealing the weaknesses and serious internal challenges it is currently struggling with,” Mohammad-Najjar further noted.

He pointed out that concurrent with the 60th anniversary of occupying Palestinians territories, the regime is seeking to hide from public opinion widespread corruption prevalent among Israeli officials.
